Widely accepted grading scales, percentage-to-letter conversion tables, and other publicly documented educational conventions are in the public domain and not subject to our copyright claims.
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content appearing on MiddleSchoolGPA.com infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated DMCA agent. To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following elements:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the infringing material: A description of the specific material you claim is infringing and its location on our site, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, a specific page URL or a description of where the content appears on the page).
- Your contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can contact you regarding your notice.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Physical or electronic signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Incomplete notices may not receive a response or may result in delayed action.
Designated DMCA Agent
We will review your notice and, if it meets the requirements of the DMCA, take appropriate action — which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing content while we investigate.
Counter-Notification Process
If material was removed from our site as a result of a DMCA takedown notice and you believe the removal was made in error or based on misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our DMCA agent. A valid counter-notification must include:
- Identification of removed material: A description of the material that was removed and its location on our site before it was removed.
- Good faith belief statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, the federal district court for any judicial district in which MiddleSchoolGPA.com may be found.
- Your contact information: Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Physical or electronic signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will notify the party who submitted the original takedown notice. If that party does not file an action seeking a court order against you within 10 to 14 business days of receiving our notification, we may restore the removed material at our discretion.
Repeat Infringer Policy
MiddleSchoolGPA.com maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. Because our site does not require user accounts, this policy primarily applies to any users or entities that engage in repeated unauthorized use of our original content on external platforms. We may take additional steps to prevent repeat infringement, including pursuing legal remedies available under the DMCA and applicable copyright law.
Quotation and Fair Use
You may quote brief excerpts from our content for commentary, criticism, news reporting, education, or research purposes in accordance with fair use principles under 17 U.S.C. § 107.
